Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has expressed his delight with the early reception to the Xbox Series consoles.

With Xbox Series X preview units currently in the hands of select media outlets and influencers, Nadella has started that he is currently happy with the positive coverage surrounding the system.

“We are delighted by early reviews and excitement in the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, which will be the most affordable and the most powerful consoles available,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said during the company’s first-quarter earnings call.

While coverage of the more-powerful X console has been frequent, the company has yet to have any coverage of the budget-focused Xbox Series S.

Microsoft’s next-gen systems have resulted in record-breaking demand for Xbox consoles; the pair of next-gen systems even managed to sell out in Japan twice.

While many will be gunning for the more powerful Xbox Series X console this holiday, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has revealed that the company predicts the cheaper, less powerful Series S model will sell more units by the end of the generation.
