Microsoft’s Q3 2016 Earnings: Office revenue increases by 7%

Microsoft today announced its earnings for Q3 2016. The company today reported that its Office business is growing steadily, as expected. According to the company, its Office commercial products and cloud services revenue grew 7% in constant currency thanks to the revenue growth of Office 365 (increased by 63% in constant currency). Additionally, the company also reported that Office consumer products and cloud services revenue grew by 6% in constant currency as Office 365 consumer subscribers increased to 22.2 million:

  • Office commercial products and cloud services revenue grew 7% in constant currency driven by Office 365 revenue growth of 63% in constant currency
  • Office consumer products and cloud services revenue grew 6% in constant currency with Office 365 consumer subscribers increasing to 22.2 million
  • Dynamics products and cloud services revenue grew 9% in constant currency with Dynamics CRM Online seat adds more than doubling year-over-year
