“What can a drama director bring to games? I worked on xbox 360 kinect project “Milo & Kate”, developed by Lionhead studios & creative director Peter Molyneux. I was brought in to help develop a three dimensional central character and directed motion capture, animation and voice to achieve this. I was lucky to be so involved as an integral member of the team. As convergence becomes a reality, film makers and games designers must work together to enhance their respective fields. “

Milo is a voice-and-motion-recognition game from Lionhead Studios that was first shown to the public when Kinect was announced last year. After more than year now, Milo was not yet released to the market. There were reports that Milo development was cancelled, but Peter Molyneux confirmed that the game is in development. The above video shows some preview of the game play and how it was made. They use same technology as the James Cameron’s Avatar for the Live Action motion capture.
