Many of us may have missed this (likely due to good ad blockers), but Microsoft has stepped up their Windows Mobile advertising spend, in particular co-promoting outstanding Windows Mobile devices like the HTC Touch HD.
While the adverts look relatively crude in appearance, seeing some money spent on Windows Mobile by Microsoft is always positive, especially in the face of the flood of negativity it currently faces from the online community. They are part of Microsoft’s campaign to raise awareness of its own ecosystem, consisting of Windows Vista, Windows Live and Windows Mobile. Microsoft has been making efforts to tie these previously disparate entities together, as can be seen by their Live Mesh efforts. Apparently a further push can be expected early next year independent of WM 6.5’s release, so it looks like things will be getting more interesting very soon.
