Horacio Gutierrez Microsoft

Horacio Gutierrez, Microsoft’s general counsel and corporate vice president of Legal Affairs is leaving the company to join music streaming company Spotify. Horacio was responsible for overseeing Microsoft’s worldwide legal affairs and leads the group responsible for the development, maintenance and enforcement of the company’s IP portfolio, including all of its patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets worldwide. His group was also responsible for inbound and outbound patent licensing work, and for the strategy and substance on IP legal and public policy developments.

Few years back, IAM magazine named Horacio as the most influential driver of the global IP market.
