Microsoft Word for iOS gets Box integration with the latest update (Update: Excel too)


Microsoft today released a new update for the official Word app for iOS. With the latest update, the company is introducing Box integration which should be a pretty nice addition if you are a Box users. For those unfamiliar with Box, it’s a cloud storage service similar to OneDrive, available on Windows 10 and other platforms. With the latest update for Word, you will be able to easily store and access Word comments on your Box account.

The update also makes it easier to discover and install other Office apps that are available on iOS. Other than that, there isn’t any other new feature in the latest update for Word for iOS:

  • Box works with Office: Your file storage options are growing! Now store and access your Office files on Box.
  • Discover more Office apps: Word now makes it easy for you to discover and quickly install all the Office apps available for your iPhone and iPad.
