Microsoft Wi-Fi for Windows Phone gets a new name with the latest update

Earlier last month, we reported about Microsoft Wi-Fi – the company’s upcoming service that will allow users to enjoy hassle-free internet around the world. The service will have coverage at over 10 million hotspots across 130 countries, including airports, hotels, restaurants, and other public spaces. The service is expected to have apps for Windows Phone, Android and iOS as well.

Today, Microsoft released a new update for the Microsoft Wi-Fi app for Windows Phone. The latest update renames the app to Microsoft WiFi for Business, and it’ll presumably include special offers for enterprise customers. Microsoft Wi-Fi for Business is expected to be available for the following customers:

  • Employees of organizations with Microsoft Office 365 for Enterprise
  • Customers who received a special WiFi offer from Microsoft
  • Active Skype WiFi subscribers (through the Microsoft Work & Play Bundle or the Surface 2 + Skype WiFi Bundle)

As the service isn’t official just yet, there isn’t any changelog for the latest update. The latest version of the app is 2015.702.1457.3801 and you can get it from here!
