Yesterday we reported of an issue with Microsoft’s latest update to the Mail app in the Windows store. The new update rendered the app useless for many users who installed it, including yours truly.

In response to that, Microsoft has now quickly pushed out another update , bumping it up to version  17.6965.40521.0.

Once installation of this update is complete, the missing components like e-mails and calendar entries are now filled in properly and everything is right with the world of email once more.

Thankfully, as it was an insider update, Microsoft was able to catch and fix this issue before rolling it out to millions of users, that would have been rather unpleasant.
