Microsoft updates Photos and Store app for Windows 10, Facebook reverted back to 8.x app

Microsoft has pushed out a set of updates to its Windows 10 store and photos apps. While the latter app appears to bring no new features, the store app gets a bit more powerful in regards to search.

When searching in the store, Microsoft now offers filters in the search box itself, so you can choose between apps and games, music or videos. For example, if you type “spider” in the search box, under the suggested apps, you will see options to search just apps or music.

In other news, the Facebook for Windows 10 update has also been pulled from the store for some reason. If you hard reset your device, you will no longer be able to use the universal Facebook app unless you download the beta. It is currently unknown why Microsoft pulled the app, but as it was virtually the same as the old one, nothing of value was lost.
