Microsoft is launching a cloud service called myScience which uses a Windows Phone 7 app to allow users to collect data in the field and then upload it for free to the myScience website, where it can then be collated and downloaded for further study.
Scientists can create and customize citizen science project using myScience, and deploy it instantly to our users without having to write any code.
The service currently support a variety of form fields and pictures. Data can be viewed on the web portal or downloaded in a CSV format and is hosted for free, and on the cloud so it can scale rapidly.
The app has not been released to Marketplace yet, but should arrive soon.
