Just a few days ago, Microsoft confirmed that the “Nokia Lumia” brand will be re-branded as “Microsoft Lumia”. Today Microsoft has also shown us what this branding will look like on actual handsets.

However, it seems like the  re-brand will go even further.  According to an announcement on the official (and main) Windows Phone Facebook page today the page is also going to be renamed as “Microsoft Lumia”:

In some ways the move recognizes that more than 95% of Windows Phones out there are Lumia handsets, but with Microsoft just having signed up 50 new OEMs it seems a somewhat bizarre move that would alienate users who use non-Lumia Windows Phone handsets.

Keep in mind that the re-brand isn’t 100% confirmed. The main Windows Phone Twitter account hasn’t announced anything about the rename yet. We’ll keep updating the post with more info, so make sure to check back soon or bookmark it for easy access!

UPDATE: It looks like the Facebook Page’s URL has been already changed to Microsoft Lumia. It was previously “https://www.facebook.com/windowsphone/” and now it is “https://www.facebook.com/MicrosoftLumia/”. We’ll keep you updated!
