Microsoft To Enable PC Compatibility To Xbox One Controller Very Soon

Xbox One Titanfall Controller 1

Earlier this year, there were some reports that Xbox One controllers will not work with Windows PCs, but Microsoft’s then director of product management Albert Penello ended those reports that Xbox One controller will work with Windows PCs for games. Last year Microsoft confirmed that the new wireless protocol, combined with the ability to work in ‘wired’ mode, and the addition of features like Impulse triggers, means that new software has to be written and optimized for the PC and there is also some work that they need to do to make sure that existing PC games that support the Xbox 360 controller will work with the Xbox One controller.

Larry Hryb, director of Xbox programming, in a post on the forum NeoGAF earlier this week once confirmed that PC gaming compatibility is coming to Xbox One controller very soon.
