Microsoft Singapore challenges developers to publish AR.Drone and Canon Selphy 3rd party Windows Phone apps

imageMicrosoft Singapore is running a developer challenge in which they ask developers to create and publish apps to control the AR.Drone  and Canon Selphy CP900 portable wireless printer.

They note that software for  controlling the AR.Drone has already been developed, but no apps have been published to the Windows Phone Store.

They are letting developers in Singapore visit the Microsoft Innovation Centre there to test their code on real devices, and are giving away 2 Nokia Lumia 920s and 2 AR.Drones and 2 Nokia Lumia 920 and Canan Selphy CP900 printers to the winners of the contest.

The contest is just the first in a series, and Microsoft is asking developers where possible to create apps for both Windows Phone 7 and 8.

I think the challenges are good ideas, though I think the prizes could be even more attractive.
