Microsoft may be spreading its Windows Phone wings, but Lumia is still the corner stone of the platform. A year after shutting down its Windows Phone Twitter accounts in preference of Lumia Twitter accounts, Microsoft is now shuttering its Windows Phone support twitter accounts in preference for @LumiaHelp. While on the one hand it does not make sense for owners of HTC, Blu et al to approach @LumiaHelp for questions related to their devices, users of these devices represent a minuscule share of the Windows Phone userbase and can be served by their respective OEMS in any case.
Never the less, Lumia help is pretty good at getting problems resolved, and there’s no need to have two duplicate services when one would suffice.
