Microsoft Shows Off More Capabilities Of Upcoming Project Spark, Beta In October

Microsoft announced Project Spark back at E3 with a trailer. Project Spark is an open-world digital canvas that enables anyone to build, play, and share whatever they can imagine. Project Spark is a powerful, yet simple way to build and play your own worlds, stories, and games. Share all of your creations to a dynamic community, and play what the community makes.
They announced that Project Spark will have following capabilities,
  • Facial Expression Capture – Users can record their face and have it applied to an in-game character
  • Animation Recording – Do a new attack, full body motions, gestures, etc.
  • Record audio and modulate – Speak a line, singing, etc. Modulate the sounds in a variety of ways
Today at Gamescon, Microsoft demoed even more capabilities of Project Spark which you can watch in the video above. Microsoft also announced that the beta is coming in October for Windows 8 PCs and Xbox One version coming in January 2014.
