Microsoft shortens Invoke Cortana command from Hey Cortana

Cortana has been updated for the Harmon Kardon Invoke, removing the need to *ahem* Invoke it by saying Hey Cortana, instead users can simply just say Cortana, to trigger Cortana’s listening features.

The new Cortana command has yet to roll out on either Windows 10 PCs, not has it yet rolled out on iOS and Android, though it may yet do so.

Perhaps Microsoft may be adding specialised Cortana commands for different devices, to prevent overlap.  With this update, the firm also adds support for checking emails with Cortana, and support for IFTT.

Microsoft may also be bringing more speaker devices to the US and the UK later this year, we’ll have to wait and see.
