Yesterday, we reported that Microsoft is cancelling some Surface Book pre-orders due to transaction issues and those customers were required to place their pre-orders again. While pre-ordering again, customers were shown shipping dates of seven or eight weeks. Microsoft today responded to this issue with the following statement,
As we are processing and shipping the previously placed Surface Book pre-orders, some needed to have order details re-entered to properly process the transaction. We will be contacting impacted customers, and should they wish to keep their order, it will be shipped within a few days of being re-entered.
So, those who got their orders cancelled can expect Surface Book to be shipped on the same old shipping date if they pre-order it again.
Consumers can pre-order their devices from various retailers like Microsoft Store, Amazon, and more. Find the links to pre-order below.
