Microsoft quietly drops mention of non-US app purchasing from NoDo change log

Microsoft has quietly dropped a line from the change log of their NoDo update.  The line in question states:

using a credit card with an address outside the United States

This would be to pay for applications, a sore point for many who have Windows Phone 7 handsets in part of the world where Marketplace has not officially launched.

Microsoft via their @winphonesupport twitter account has claimed this was referring to an issue that US customers had when using a different language/region format on their device and that is was removed to reduce confusion.

That explanation of course does not make much sense or fit with the wording, suggesting at least to conspiracy theorists that something important must have fallen by the wayside.
