Microsoft’s Edge browser is struggling to rise up to 5% market share, and one of the reasons is that it’s not perceived to be as flexible as Chrome due to having fewer plugins and extensions.
Microsoft is trying to address this issue by promoting Edge extensions a bit more in the store, first with a massive banner on the home page of the Store, and secondly by adding a dedicated tab next to Movies& TV and Books in the Store.
The banner is available on all Stores, but the dedicated tab appears to be only available to some users who are also on version 11802.1001.8.0 of the Store app.
There are currently 92 extensions on my version of the Store, which actually looks like rather a lot. Do our readers think there is enough to keep the average user happy? Let us know below.
