Microsoft partners with Accenture and Avanade to build joint AI solutions targeting verticals

Microsoft today announced its partnership with Accenture and Avanade to build joint AI solutions targeting verticals that will create immediate business impact. As part of this partnership, Accenture and Avanade will build industry-specific solutions based on Microsoft’s AI platform globally. Even though Microsoft offers several AI platform services, organizations are looking for out-of-the-box solutions they can just deploy with less effort, so this new partnership solves the issue. Today, they announced two new solutions:

  • The first solution brings together Accenture’s “Intelligent Customer Engagement” (ICE) framework with the Microsoft AI Solution for Customer Care, enabling digital assistants to better understand and respond to thousands of different customers’ needs. HP used this solution to create a virtual agent that can recommend products, help customers understand their buying options, and handle support questions as well. Two large US telecommunications providers are using Accenture ICE to automate chat experiences and divert incoming voice calls to automated channels reducing costs.
  • The second solution brings Accenture Intelligent Revenue Growth (IRG) onto the Microsoft AI platform to unlock growth opportunities in the competitive consumer-packaged goods market. IRG uses machine learning to allow sales departments to identify opportunities and deploy them in the market up to ten times faster. A large brewery has used IRG to automate internal and external data feeds to provide a complete real-time view of the customer and the business.

Microsoft, Accenture and Avanade are also building a team of data scientists, engineers, and architects to provide access to engineering expertise and early access to Microsoft AI technology.
