Microsoft looking for Visual Computing expert for WP7

Microsoft job postings often give an interesting insight into the plans and priorities of the company.

The latest of interest to us is their search for a software development engineer for Windows Phone to take an idea from “research into a concrete, shipping product.

The idea in question appears to have something to do with “Visual Computing: Computer Vision, Real Time 3D Computer Graphics, GPGPU ( General-Purpose computation on Graphics Processing Units), Facial and Object Recognition, Handwriting Recognition, SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping), Advanced Video Input and Output Pipelines, Stereoscopy, Augmented Reality, innovative User Interfaces and UX/UI Frameworks

We are not sure what Microsoft intends to do with all this expertise, but it is sure to be very cool.
