Microsoft is testing a new feature for Edge that lets you hide some bits of the UI next to the address bar like the share and Windows Ink button. When right-clicking on them, a new “show next to address bar” option is presented, and upon deselecting it, the button is moved into the overflow menu. This isn’t an entirely new feature, exertions were able to be either shown in the overflow menu, or next to the address bar. It’s the first time Microsoft is extending this feature to native UI elements, however.
Didnt know this was an A/B test but soon (hopefully) everyone will be able to hide these buttons.
Can't hide the star button though. pic.twitter.com/rwP28OPHXf

This is still an A/B test, so naturally, not all users would have access to it just yet. Hopefully, the firm rolls it out sooner rather than later, as to make for a less cluttered Edge UI for those who prefer minimalism.
