As Microsoft’s cloud computing related businesses and consumer online services are growing at a rapid rate, Microsoft is investing heavily in computing infrastructure to serve the customers. Recently, in the quarterly earnings report, they mentioned that capital expenditures were at $1.3 billion. In mainly includes costs involved in investing in new data centers and increasing the capacity of existing data centers.
