Microsoft in the process of merging Windows and Windows Phone developer accounts

devmigration

Microsoft has started the process of merging Windows and Windows Phone developer accounts in preparation for the universal Windows Store.

The move will merge previously linked universal apps into the same entry with multiple packages, and will allow developers to be receive a single payment for both apps.

The new dashboard will also provide new analytics and provide new features, such as setting a future publication date for your app.

The update is available for some developers now, with the roll-out process likely to take a number of weeks. At present, despite the release of Windows 10 in around 3 weeks, developers are not yet able to upload Windows 10 SDK apps.
