Microsoft is advertising for Retail Marketing Managers in European countries like UK, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland,Norway, Spain,Italy, and the Netherlands with the aim of boosting Windows phone 7 sales there.
The managers would be tasked with “communicat(ing) the value of a Windows Phone through RSP advocacy, in store merchandising and online experience.â€.
The news comes on the back of Achim Berg, corporate vice president of Windows Phone Marketing saying the company was training “hundreds†of salesmen worldwide to demonstrate the OS.
Retail is felt to be one of the weakest areas for Windows Phone 7, with sales staff turning away even customers who already express a preference for Windows Phone.
