According to ex-Microsoftie and rumormongered Nawzil Microsoft will be able to use the Nokia brand for Lumia smartphones for another 18 months, and on Nokia’s lower-end Asha, X and dumb phones for another ten years.
Nokia’s twitter accounts has recently been reassuring fans that Microsoft can continue using the Nokia brand for Lumia handsets for “some time” and 18 months does seem about right, though of course there is no verification for this.
18 months would correspond to around 3 new waves of Windows Phone handset releases. Do our readers think 18 months is long enough, or would 3 years have been closer to the mark? Let us know below.
Thanks John for the tip.
