Microsoft finally kicks off Create Together project

Create Together

About a month ago we reported that Microsoft is inviting Windows Insiders in India to help them in shaping the new hardware. The project was named “Create Together” and it aimed on creating a smart phone based on user’s input (in this case it is the Windows Insiders). Microsoft has already made clear that they are taking the Insider Program to a new level by taking feedback from users and Windows Fans for new devices and hardware.

An email sent to Insiders today asks them to fill a short questionnaire. The questionnaire comprises of personal details like use interests, age etc and also some of the key aspects someone wants to see in a smart phone or any handheld device. As Microsoft is targeting India with this project so the device is priced at 15k-20k which seems to be a mid end device. Microsoft asked many questions like build material, internal storage, camera, build quality and much more.

Seeing this it looks like Microsoft is serious about the idea of creating hardware by taking user inputs and feedback. Moreover, it is good that this move looks promising as Windows Fans have been left disappointed at some point or the other in terms of hardware especially when it comes to Windows Phone. We are not sure how Microsoft is going to take this project further but it will be interesting to see if they move with this project to other countries as well.
