If you tried to search for an app on WindowsPhone.com recently, you probably received a redirect loop error. I’ve been receiving this error for almost a month – however as it seems like, Microsoft finally fixed the issue and I was able to search for an app on the website. It’s worth mentioning that the problem was for Chrome and Firefox users only. For those of you who didn’t saw the error, here is the error message:

“The webpage at https://www.windowsphone.com/en-gb/search?q=RANDOMAPP has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.”

We’re not sure what caused the issue. However, the issue was probably caused by a recent Chrome update which included security updates. Nonetheless, the issue is now fixed and you should now be able to search for apps on the website without having any problems.

If you’re still receiving the error, make sure to clear your browser’s cache. And if clearing your cache doesn’t help, make sure to let us know in the comment section below!
