Microsoft claims new “Shape Writing” keyboard is the fastest in the world

At Build 2014 Microsoft introduced its now gesture-based “Shape Writing” keyboard, which is a Swype-like keyboard, and at the event also claimed that the keyboard has beaten the world record for typing a set sentence, managing the feat in only 17 seconds.

The keyboard is a new feature of Windows Phone 8.1, which should hit new handsets in late April or early May.
