Microsoft brings Windows 10’s Xbox app to iOS and Android

Xbox App on Windows 10

Microsoft’s Xbox app for Windows 10 devices is now rolling out to iOS and Android devices in an update to the Xbox One Smartglass app on both devices.

The new app is exactly the same as it is on Windows 10 with all features complete. Essentially, it brings some of the Windows 10 experience to Android and iOS. Just like the Windows 10 app, features like game hubs, achievements and timeline are presented in a streamlined manner. Like the Windows 10 Mobile app, there is no sign of game streaming, but that may change in the future for all Xbox mobile apps.

The update comes just hours before Microsoft’s E3 presentation, perhaps hinting at more the Xbox app being made more important in future releases? Whatever happens, we’ll find out at Microsoft’s presentation in just a few hours at 9:30 AM PT/4:30 PM UTC
