Last year, Microsoft announced the expansion of Fluent Design to OneDrive web experience. Today, Microsoft announced that it is bringing Fluent design to OneDrive mobile apps starting with OneDrive iOS app.

Like other Office mobile apps, the redesigned OneDrive app comes with a bold new header that adds a splash of color (blue) and it aligns with Outlook mobile app. Microsoft Search is integrated into the app allowing users to find files faster. Microsoft has changed the font sizes and colors in the Files list screen to improve legibility and contrast. Microsoft has also updated the command sheet with a softer look and a draggable surface.

Microsoft is also bringing the the “Recent files” experience on the iOS and Android apps, allowing users to access their recent files easily. In order to improve the PDF editing experience, Microsoft is introducing improved markup experience with pens, highlighters, and the eraser can now be found at the bottom of the screen. Notes can be now created easily and they are simpler to customize.

Microsoft will bring these improvements to OneDrive Android app in the coming months.
