Microsoft announces partnership with Samsung to promote Xbox One X at various marketing and retail locations

Microsoft today announced their partnership with Samsung to promote the upcoming Xbox One X console. They announced that Samsung’s flagship premium lineup of QLED TVs has become the official 4K TV partner for Xbox One X. Xbox One X connected to Samsung QLED 4K TVs will be promoted at various Xbox and Samsung marketing and retail locations through the rest of the year in the US.

“Xbox One X will bring true 4K gaming to console players for the first time with 40 percent more power than any other console,” said Mike Nichols, Xbox Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re thrilled to join forces with Samsung in the U.S. to deliver immersive 4K gaming experiences to our fans.

In addition to the marketing partnership, Samsung has also updated the Smart Hub to offer a more intuitive and unified experience. When an user connects the Xbox One X to a Samsung QLED TV, the TV automatically recognizes the Xbox One X and sets up the Samsung One Remote that now supports more devices and offers voice control capabilities across more Smart TV features. Gamers can just say “Game Mode” into the One Remote to have their audio and video settings optimized for gaming.
