At a press event today, Microsoft announced Copilot, a new AI-powered assistant experience that will be available across multiple products and services, and even understand multiple contexts. At launch, Microsoft Copilot will be available in Windows 11, Office apps and Edge browser. Copilot will be available as part of the upcoming Windows 11 update that will be releasing on September 26th.
Since Copilot is built into Windows, it can view across your applications, the web and your devices to help you with better context.
You will be able to ask queries like the below to Copilot on Windows:
- Find my October flight info from my texts
- Create a table to help me plan my meals for next two weeks
- Write a math equation and ask Copilot to explain the same
- Copy some text to the clipboard, Copilot can offer suggestions to summarize the content, etc.
“We believe Copilot will fundamentally transform our relationship with technology,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
