Microsoft adds real-time co-authoring to PowerPoint Mobile for Office Insiders

Just yesterday, we reported that Microsoft is bringing real-time co-authoring to PowerPoint Mobile for Windows 10 desktop users sometime soon. Today, the company released a new Office Insider build which introduces the new real-time co-authoring features and more.

With the new real-time co-authoring feature, multiple users can now work on the same presentation at the same time. If you are editing a presentation with PowerPoint Mobile on Windows 10, other users will be able to edit the file at the same time from PowerPoint on any other platform that supports real-time co-authoring (including PowerPoint Online). As you can see on the above screenshot, I was editing a presentation from my main account on PowerPoint Mobile and started editing the file on PowerPoint Online from another account. The real-time co-authoring feature works pretty nicely and can be very useful at times, to say the least.

Alongside the new real-time co-authoring feature, Microsoft also introduced a new Funnel Chart type and improved Pinch and Zoom for Excel Mobile, which is also pretty nice. If you are an Office Insider, the latest build of Ofice Mobile (17.6568) should now be available via the Windows Store.
