Micron Technology NAND technology triples Windows Mobile file performance

One of the ways of boosting the performance of your desktop is to swap in a faster hard drive.  Micron Technology is betting on the same effect with their new dual-plane SLC memory and NANDCodeâ„¢ FTL software, which they in this video compare to standard Samsungs OneNANDâ„¢ software running on a Windows Mobile 6.5 powered board.

Of course we cant swap out the flash storage on our smartphones as easily on on the desktop, so this consumer demo is a bit odd, but I am sure if we see Powered By MIcron Technology on the next spec sheet we will be more inclined to buy that device, which is what this demo is all about.
