Last week, we gave you a closer look at the new universal Skype experience in Windows 10 Mobile. Today, Microsoft released the first update for the Messaging Skype Beta for Windows 10 Mobile. As you may expect, the latest update for the Messaging Skype Beta app is a minor one, and it doesn’t pack any new feature. We assume the latest update brings bug fixes and performance improvements, however. For those wondering, the latest update for the Skype Beta app is version 1.0.12748.0.

Skype Messaging, Calling and Video Preview is a new way to experience Skype features. It integrates individual Skype features where you’d expect them – Skype messaging into Messaging and Skype calling into Phone apps for the fastest way to make calls and send messages. It also adds quick access to Skype video calling. With Skype built in, you’ll be able to reach anyone who uses Skype on iPhones, Androids, even PCs with just a couple of clicks.

It’s worth noting that the latest update seems to make the app a tad bit faster, which is pretty nice.

The latest update for the Messaging Skype Beta app is now live on the Microsoft Store, and you can grab it from the Store here.
