MechWarrior 5 DLC is Here with Ghost Bear: Flash Storm - Here's What's New in the Expansion

Piranha Games has released the “Ghost Bear: Flash Storm” DLC for MechWarrior 5: Clans, introducing a new 12-mission campaign centered on Clan Ghost Bear’s Silveroot Keshik unit. Set after the death of Leo Showers, players will engage in a Trial of Possession to secure the Ebon Jaguar and Night Gyr OmniMechs, and confront the Second Sword of Light on Alshain.

MechWarrior 5’s expansion adds four OmniMechs. This includes Night Gyr, Ebon Jaguar, Fire Moth, and Huntsman. Players also get four BattleMechs including Kodiak, Jenner IIC, Hunchback IIC, and Rifleman IIC.

The good news is that they will now be able to command Elemental squads led by Star Commander Rook. Moreover, players will be able to participate in battles aboard the Ghost Bear command ship, the Grizzly. The Mech Lab has been updated to allow engine swapping and other customization options.

Available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, the DLC is priced at $19.99. It supports co-op and cross-play, allowing players to access the new content if the host owns it. Free updates with the DLC include MechLab improvements, progression and balance adjustments, new Horde Mode maps, and enhanced gamepad options.
