343 Industries might be working hard on the development of Halo Infinite, but they’ve far from given up on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. For next-gen consoles, their fantastic support is continuing with a Master Chief Collection 120fps confirmed for next month.

Announced through a Twitter post, the upcoming Master Chief Collection 120fps update isn’t just bringing a doubled framerate for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, but a fully optimised next-gen update for Microsoft’s upcoming console family.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Fully Optimized on Series X|S
  • 120 FPS in Campaign & Multiplayer
  • Split-screen improvements & up to 4K on Series X

With new content consistently arriving to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, this likely won’t be the last enhancement to 343’s shooter compilation.
