Mass Effect Andromeda’s multiplayer gets shown off in its latest trailer

Mass Effect: Andromeda is the first entry in Bioware’s popular series of space RPGs since 2012, and its release is just a mere week away. It’s been half a decade since the original trilogy came to a controversial conclusion with Mass Effect 3, and some people have been left with a question on their minds: how much has changed?

There’s been quite a few trailers over the past month that show off a lot of aspects about Andromeda – the game’s characters, its combat, a glimpse at its story – but multiplayer wasn’t given that much of a spotlight. Combine that with the previously announced multiplayer beta being cancelled, and you’ve got reason for some to worry.

The latest part of the “Official Gameplay Series” line of trailers finally gives an in-depth look at the multiplayer gameplay and some of its 25 characters. You can check it out below.

The premise of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer is similar to Mass Effect 3’s Galaxy at War mode, which put a team of players up against squadrons of AI controlled opponents. It certainly looks like a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to hop into it when Andromeda comes out a week from now.
