Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer APEX missions begin today

Mass Effect: Andromeda features a sprawling single-playing campaign but the multiplayer portions are quite addictive as well. The fight for a new home continues today with the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda’s first free event called Multiplayer APEX Missions. Beginning today, players can join the elite APEX forces and take part in the first of several ongoing story-based missions that will feature new playable characters, weapons and items. The first APEX Mission known as Drack’s Missing Scouts, is available from March 23 until March 27 and will task players with investigating a new map, Firebase Paradox, for a potential kett threat.

MSPoweruser recently reviewed the game and concluded that despite its problems, Mass Effect: Andromeda is a great title but doesn’t live up to its full potential on Xbox One. A myriad of technical issues detract from the title and significantly impact the level of immersion—that doesn’t even include the bizarre animation quality or unbearable texture filtering. Throughout the playthrough, gamers will be more focused on the frame rate drops and stuttering because they’re so disruptive. Mass Effect: Andromeda needs more polish on Xbox One despite having a great story and fun multiplayer component. Hopefully, BioWare will address these pressing issues soon and improve their product.
