Mango supporting many more features internationally

One of the complaints which crop up most frequently about Windows Phone 7 is from international users who find many of Windows Phone 7’s headline features, such as Bing voice search, are just not available in their country.

Long Zheng from istartedsomething.com reports that Mango will bring significant improvements, at least in Australia.

He reports  for the first time, using default settings, search using speech recognition works, Bing now shows local search listings, local scout actually works as does turn by turn GPS navigation.   Even SMS dictation via speech to text works.

Some features are however still not available.  Bing Vision will only read bar codes, not images, Bing music search does not work and Bing quick card are also not available.

Overall however most of the most wanted features do function, which is a great start.
