Mafia II and Prey are coming to Xbox One backward compatibility today

Larry Hryb has announced that Mafia II and Prey are coming to Xbox One backward compatibility starting today. The batch of games is smaller this time but both are popular titles and are on sale this week as part of 2K’s publisher sale. If any more games are announced for the backward compatibility program within the next few hours, we’ll update this article.

Mafia II first released in 2010 for Xbox 360. In it players control Vito Scaletta, a war veteran who gets tangled with the mafia when trying to pay his father’s debts. It takes place during the early 1950s in the fictional city of Empire Bay. The original Prey—not to be confused with Arkane Studio’s recent ‘reboot’—launched in 2006 and was developed by Human Head Studios. It follows Domasi “Tommy” Tawodi as he is abducted aboard an alien spacecraft.

Mafia II is currently available for $7.49 while Prey can be bought for $3.99.
