A small announcement: today was my first day in Nokia Technologies! I am now new Head of Imaging in the Ozo team.

Juha Alakarhu, Director, cameras for phones at Microsoft has now joined Nokia Technologies as the new Head of Imaging in the Ozo team. Juha Alakarhu came to Microsoft as part of Nokia acquisition and his team was working on Lumia camera technology development in Finland. As part of the recent layoffs at Microsoft Mobile division in Finland, I believe members of the Lumia Imaging team were also let go.
Lumia Imaging team did a great job with the cameras in the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. It is sad to hear that this team is no more at Microsoft. I wonder whether the imaging team at Microsoft Redmond will be able to deliver the same level of imaging quality in the upcoming Surface and Lumia devices.
