The next big Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview is expected today, which will leave Lumia 930 and Lumia Icon users, who were up to now unsupported, with a small quandary – do they take the plunge and go ahead and install the new partition-stitching updated version of the new OS, or do they stay on the sidelines.
Microsoft’s Gabe Aul has confirmed the Build 10080 supports the device, saying:

Microsoft prefers not to push out builds on Friday, leaving later today as the likely candidate. Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview 10080 is expected to bring the new Office apps, removing a major barrier to using the software, and also much more usable apps in general. On the other hand the OS remains alpha software, and should not be used on your daily driver, even though we know many will.
@Typhos666 So far so good. It has a couple of tile layout bugs, but I think the Fast ring crew will not mind those.

I do not believe many Windows Phone users have Lumia Icon or 930 handsets just lying around, and we suggest that if you rely on your expensive Windows Phone in any way, you should let other people take the arrows and not install the new OS on your handset.
To make sure you do not opt in accidentally to the update, if you have the Insider app installed, use it to opt out of the program and the uninstall it from your device.
