We reported a few months ago that WP8.1 Update 1 will bring support for high quality Bluetooth audio via the aptX codec.
Of course as usual these low-level updates need new firmware, and now we know that Lumia Denim is the firmware that will deliver the codec, and that it will apply to all Lumia handsets.
The news is via Microsoft’s support site, which unfortunately does not contain any information on when exactly Lumia Denim will start rolling out to existing handsets, but I suspect we do not have too much longer to wait.
