One of the few carriers who have not approved the Lumia Cyan update for their handset yet is Verizon, and now it seems the update is even further away.

Microsoft’s update website now lists the Cyan update for the 822, 928 and Icon as “Under Development”, apparently an earlier stage than “Under testing”, suggesting that the software has been sent back for further development to Microsoft.

WC reports that this may be due to Verizon demanding that their carrier-specific software like VZ Navigator work perfectly with the update, requiring Microsoft Mobile to keep reworking the software.

For now we have no idea when the update will actually arrive, and we expect with Lumia Denim on the way, at some point Verizon will either decide to roll Cyan and Denim up together, causing Verizon users to wait even more, or that Denim will also be massively delayed.

Are our Verizon-using readers frustrated by these moves? Let us know below.
