Lumia 650’s announcement reportedly delayed due to “software issues”

Back in October, we revealed details about Microsoft’s upcoming Lumia: the Lumia 650. Recently, a report from Windows Central claimed that Microsoft will be announcing the device via its official blog on February 1. Now, the site is claiming that Microsoft has delayed the Lumia 650’s announcement, and they will now be announcing it on “mid-February”. The company apparently delayed the device’s announcement due to “last minute software/firmware issues”. In case you missed it, here are the rumored specs of the Lumia 650:

  • Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 or Qualcomm MSM8909v2 Snapdragon 212
  • 5? 720p display
  • 2000 mAh battery
  • Includes Glance Screen support
  • No dedicated camera button
  • microSD card slot

It is worth noting that Microsoft is also said to cut more jobs in its Lumia division. That said, the Lumia 650 is probably not the last Lumia from Microsoft — as I have previously reported, Microsoft is currently working on only one Lumia – and that’s the Lumia 650.
