Loophole Allows 5% Discount On a Surface Pro 3 From Bing Rewards

It appears the Microsoft Store is currently allowing customers to use a 5% discount, obtained from Bing rewards towards a Surface Pro 3. Typically high value items are excluded from discounts including the Xbox One console, Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro. Here is the full text:

At the online Microsoft Store, we’ve hand-picked the latest technology products. Redeem for this reward and receive a 5% discount – restrictions apply.* You’ll also enjoy free ground shipping and free returns on everything we sell.

*Valid from 11/13/2
013 – 12/31/2014. Offer valid online only at the US Microsoft Store. May not be combined with other offers or applied to prior purchases. Excludes gift cards, pre-ordered products, Office 365, Volume Licensing, Xbox One console, Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro. Limited to stock on hand. Discount applies before taxes, shipping and other fees. Limit 1 coupon per transaction. Not for resellers. Quantity limits may apply.

A 5% discount for the Microsoft Store can be redeemed for 50 credits, or 40 credits for a gold member. You can earn 1 credit for every Bing search with a maximum of 30 credits per day. For the base i3 SP3 this would come out to a $40 discount. For $999 model, you get it at $949.

It is likely Microsoft will fix this loophole shortly, take advantage of it while you can.
