The season of apps dropping off the Windows Phone Store continues, with the latest casualty being the LivingSocial app, which has been unpublished from the Windows Phone store.
The app, which has been on version 1.0 since 23rd June 2013, and which does not appear to be working at all, has been removed from the store.
It is likely all these apps disappearing at the same time is no coincidence, with the app development likely funded by Microsoft, and Microsoft declining to renew funding.
In many ways, due to Microsoft money, the Windows Phone Store is punching well above it weight, having close to 1/4 of the total number of Android apps while having less than 5% of the number of devices. Hopefully the addition of 1.5 billion PCs will help level the playing field somewhat.
