LG Optimus 7 and LG Quantum demoed heading for Canada, special apps shown off

RGBFilter have been lucky enough to have an early hands-on with the LG Optimus 7 and LG Quantum.

Besides being a typically stylish Windows Phone 7 devices, they of course also house the apps which LG hopes differentiates them from the other OEMs.

The video shows the two apps in question – Scan Search, which is an Augmented Reality app which according to RGB Filter is the result of a partnership between LG, Microsoft and unusually Google. It also appears to use the compass at some point.

The other is the Panoramic Shot app, which seamlessly generates panoramas, and to me makes justifies the cost of entry right of the bat.

Also of note is that while Twitter functionality is not built-in, downloading the official twitter app will allow users to merge their twitter contacts to their contact book, just like the Facebook integration.

The LG Optimus 7 is destined for Telus, and the LG Optimus Quantum QWERTY slider for Bell, and both come with 16 GB of storage.
